INTRODUCING THE TIMELESS TRUG
This is our interpretation of the timeless trug. Centuries ago, the idea came from Sussex: bentwood baskets with a handle to transport vegetables from the garden or market. But it wasn’t until Queen Victoria fell for a garden trug she saw one day in London’s Crystal Palace that the wooden baskets became gardening’s first truly chic accessory. Trugs are a must-have garden accessory combining practical utility and ornamental value. Plus, they can be used to create indoor displays and they make wonderful gardening gifts.
Our version is made from weathered cedar and features a one-of-a-kind natural branch handle. Available in 3 sizes, small, medium and large.
Trugs are sold empty, color and branch style will vary. The photos show a variety of uses, limited only by your imagination!
Dimensions are 15”L x 5”W x 5”H. Handle is 12”H Perfect fit for 4 inch pots, pint mason jar, and as a drink caddy. Seasonal pansies, sedums, or herbs are a few options.
